A Game of Thrones (Volume 2)

A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin

4,5 stars

Wow o.o I am overwhelmed by sadness and expectation. This third quarter of "Game of Thones" arose a lot of new feelings in me, including a deep hatred for Cersei Lannister, disgust towards naive Sansa Stark and an even deeper love for Eddard and Arya Stark.

I praise George R. R. Martin's world-building and characters, since each and every one of them affects me in some way, either positively or negatively.

Regarding the storyline itself, the situation in the kingdom is serious, with different threats being introduced to the reader, such as the White Walkers in the far North, the dothraki hord across the Narrow Sea, commanded by Khal Drogo and Daenerys, and the Lannisters (assuming that one supports the Starks).

Winter is Coming, indeed, and so is the battle. And when you play the Game of Thrones, your allies can become your enemies in a heartbeat.
